More than 85 people attended a recent drop-in event hosted by Bloor Homes to learn more about emerging plans for a new neighbourhood at North Warmley.
The proposals include a significant expansion of open public green space, 950 homes with 30% affordable housing, a new local centre, a transport hub, and space for an elderly persons care home. A key feature of the plans is an extension to Warmley Forest Park, part of the plan to ensure over half the site becomes open public space for the first time in centuries.
The drop-in event attracted a wide range of attendees, including neighbours to the site, residents from across the Warmley area, and local councillors. The development team welcomed a broad set of comments and questions, covering traffic, school capacity, local infrastructure, and the importance of phasing delivery over the next fourteen years in a way that brings early benefits.

The conversations on our green-space-first proposals are about shaping a place that works for the long term. That means significant green space, community investment in public services and local facilities, and infrastructure coming forward together.”

North Warmley has been identified in South Gloucestershire Council’s draft Local Plan as a place that can help meet the area’s need for new homes, green space and infrastructure.
